Situated in the heart of one of the most picturesque villages in the UK, Checketts has become a real destination for food and coffee lovers. Whether you’re stopping by for a leisurely breakfast, catching up with friends over great coffee, or grabbing a takeaway enroute to work, we’re here to make your experience memorable.
We’ve come a long way since the glory years of Checketts Butchers & Deli counter. Nowadays, we are well known for our beautiful interiors, fresh and interesting menus and our amazing ‘service with a smile’ team. We’re popular with families and proud to be a dog-friendly destination. We also love bringing people together through our events, from our popular Pizza & Pudding Nights to our annual Festive Fayre.

Mozzo = Coffee
Life happens, but coffee helps.
The beans we use for our daily grind are fresh out of MOZZO headquarters, based in Southampton. Mozzo aren’t local, but they’re wonderful people and sometimes that’s more important. If you love Mozzo as much as we do, we have a range of Mozzo products available to take home with you, including whole beans, ground coffee and Nespresso Classic espresso pods.

Family Fun at Checketts
We’re a family-friendly spot here at Checketts. Our children’s menu is packed with tasty choices and refreshing drinks, and we have colouring to keep little hands busy while you enjoy your meal. We’re always happy to welcome the whole family.

We’re Dog Friendly
We love having dogs visit us. With some beautiful dog-friendly walks right on our doorstep, we’re the perfect place to stop afterwards for a lovely lunch and of course, a well deserved puppuccino for your furry friend.
We welcome dogs both inside and on our terrace ~ with this in mind, we ask that all four-legged visitors are comfortable in a busy, family-friendly environment.

Our History
Checketts of Ombersley was officially established by Tom Checketts (Phil Checketts’ Grandfather) in 1902. The butchers shop opened in Wyre Piddle, moved to Worcester and finally settled in Ombersley. It remained in the Checketts family for five generations.
From abattoir and award winning British meat to an estensive deli, fishmonger and cafe, Checketts was always a popular destination for food-loving folk.
Tim Hopkins bought Checketts in 2019 and an extensive refurbishment (led by Darron Woore) took place throughout 2020. Nowadays, Checketts is known for quality food, exceptional service, great coffee and gorgeous interiors.
